Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science, which focuses on
bring harmony between mind and body. It is an art and science of healthy living. Yoga is the
only science which takes care of the all round development of three essential elements-body
mind and soul together.

Pranayama: pranayama or breath control is the fourth limb of ashtanga as set out by Patanjali
in the yoga Sutra.

Benefit of Pranayama:
1. Improve balance
2. Reduce stress and anxiety
3. Reduce symptoms of lower back pain.
4. Be beneficial for asthma and chronic
Obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

FITNESS: physical fitness is a state of health and well being and, more specifically, the ability to
perform aspects of sports, occupation and daily activities. Physical fitness is generally achieved
through proper nutrition moderate-vigorous physical exercise, and sufficient rest.

Fitness main referred to: 1. Fitness, an individual's ability to propagate it's goal.
2. Fitness (magazine) :a woman's magazine focusing on health and exercise.

3. Fitness and bodybuilding competition is a form of physical training, related to construction
of good physic.

Health: Health is the level of metabolic efficiency of a living organism. The World Health
Organization (WHO) define human health in its border sense in 1948 constitution as a state of
complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merrily the absence of disease or
infirmity.
Modernity some problems:
1. Stress
2. Anxiety
3. Depression
4. Debates
5. Cancer
6. Obesity
7. High blood pressure
8. Muscular problem


Benefit of yoga:
1. Better posture
2. Improve bone health
3. Increased blood flow
4. Improve heart health
5. Lowered blood pressure
Aims and object of yoga:
1. To bring peace and tranquillity of mind, freeing it from all stress and strains, worries and
anxiety.
2. To bring balance and harmony in the body-mind-soul complex.
3. In the social complex as well as the global complex.

4. To keep the internal body clean and detoxified and thereby render it free from disease.

Meditation: practice of meditation is one of the best things to inculcate for the good mental
health. It is an effective antidote beat the stress and its influence on the mind and body of the
routine life. The harmony of the mind and body result from meditation practice which is useful
in better narrow muscular co ordination, construction, memory and other cognitive capacities.
This is in important technique to be brought in the picture of yoga as therapy in the modern
health care system.
A healthy diet for fitness includes lean protein, healthy fats, fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
It's also important to stay hydrated.
Water as needs.
A healthy diet includes fruits, vegetables, Whole grains,
lean proteins, and healthy fats. It also limits referred grains,
processed meets, saturated fat, and added sugars.

Conclusion: the principals and practices of yoga have been practiced form server 1000 years
and have been subjected for the investigation in different areas like psychology and allied
science. They stood the test of all the time and are of great help in the achievement of the best
possible holistic health through their regular practice. Yoga revives our heritage and tradition
and supports the modern healthcare system to prevent many of the modern psychosomatic
disease.
